Clip!

Clip! is the pseudonym of Eduard Tarradas, a young producer, musician and sound engineer from Barcelona who was selected by the Red Bull Music Academy in its 2011 edition as one of the most promising figures of the national electronic scene.

Never turning away from dance floor, his music is a mixture of sharp and raw grooves and mutant basses that embed in detailed soundscapes, filling his productions with a dismal atmosphere which is capable of recalling both a date at the cemetery gates and a sophisticated postcoital cocktail.

His style is close to UK eclecticism. The bluntness of bass music, the frenzied hedonism of house, the groove of garage and the fresh air of the footwork make up the solid sound frame of Clip!, who has been inspired by artists such as Machinedrum, Jacques Greene or Joy Orbison.

Clip! favours live shows with hardware, and so he has recently played at festivals such us Sónar 2012 or MicroMUTEK 2013, and at clubs such as Razzmatazz, Sirocco or the Music Box in Lisbon.

After releasing the EPs All I Want (ENSMBLE) and I Hear U Talk (JD Records), he is currently working on new projects for the labels Struments Records, Sweat Taste and Discomaths.
